13th March 2020

As part of the review of the South Worcestershire Development Plan the South Worcestershire Councils, which comprises Worcester City Council, Malvern Hills District Council and Wychavon District Council, are conducting a Call for Sites for land suitable for potential large scale renewable and low carbon energy projects.

Examples of renewable energy include solar power, hydro power and wind turbines.  Whilst, Low carbon technologies are those that can help reduce carbon emissions and include biomass and combined heat and power.  The call for sites is only seeking suggestions for land for large scale standalone renewable and low carbon energy projects which would divert all or a substantial proportion of the power or heat into the national grid or a large scale heat network.

If you are a landowner and have a site that may be suitable for these uses and potential inclusion in the Development Plan, then please contact us for advice.  The deadline for submissions is 5pm on Friday 27 March 2020.

To discuss submitting a site for consideration, please contact Howard Jones via email howardjones@caulmert.com or call on 0161 928 6886
