  • monitoring progress towards achieving the objectives and policies;
  • appointing senior management;
  • accounting for the company’s activities to the shareholders;
  • Ensuring the long term success of Caulmert Limited.

Mike Caulfield

Founder, Managing Director and Chairman
Member of the Institute of Directors

Appointed as Managing Director and Chairman, Michael has over 30 years’ professional experience in the civil engineering industry, including 18 years in the field of waste management. Extensive project experience in the design and construction supervision of infrastructure developments including; reinforced concrete structures, major highway and drainage schemes. Michael project managed landfill development and restoration schemes from concept through to detailed design and construction administration. He has been involved in all the regulatory aspects of waste management including; planning and permitting.

He has experience in ICE 5th, 6th and 7th Editions, ICE Minor Works and NEC Engineering and Construction Contracts. He held the position of engineer and project manager under contracts and represented employers in the role of planning supervisor under the Health and Safety CDM Regulations.

Michael was the Managing Director of Egniol Consulting Limited, an engineering, environmental and planning consultancy consisting of 80 employees with a turnover of £5.4m, with overall responsibility for the management and development of the business in the UK and overseas.

Previous to Egniol Consulting Limited he held the position of ‘Business Unit Manager’ within a major engineering consultancy ‘Symonds’. He was responsible for the development and management of all aspects of the ‘waste management’ sector (fee turnover in excess of £2.4 million /year).


Donna Milne

Appointed as Director, Donna has over 13 years’ experience working within the private sector. Donna began her career working for TRB Limited, a Japanese automotive manufacturer, when it was established in 2000 and left to join Caulmert in 2009. Since joining Caulmert Donna has been the driving force in setting up and controlling key management systems which will enable the business to grow from its establishment to the sizable consultancy we will strive to become.


Howard Jones

Diploma in Town Planning
Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute

Appointed as Director, Howard is a Chartered Town Planner, with more than 30 years professional experience gained in both the public and private sectors. He worked initially for Newcastle upon Tyne City Council and then for Manchester City Council, before joining Travers Morgan as an Associate Planner. He was subsequently employed by Symonds Group and by Capita Symonds as an Associate Director and latterly by Egniol Consulting, as Director of Planning, before joining Caulmert
