Caulmert are pleased to announce the arrival of Bob Scott, who has joined Caulmert as an ‘Associate’ Civil / Geotechnical Engineer and will be based at their Altrincham Office in Cheshire.
Bob has spent over 35 years as a Chartered Engineer engaged in the transportation, environmental, energy, mining, water and waste sectors. He has worked in the public and private sector on major national schemes and as a consultant for a wide range of clients in the UK and overseas.
He has gained wide experience in most aspects of ground engineering and has worked within multidiscipline project teams carrying out feasibility studies, planning appraisals, conceptual and detailed design & construction supervision on hydroelectric, water supply, motorway, rail, airport, urban renewal, power construction and mining schemes.
Bob has significant experience in the Water and Waste Sectors having worked as a site engineer on the construction of major earth dams (Kielder), ventilation shafts and tunnels (Dinorwic), and as a design geotechnical manager for turnkey water and wastewater schemes for Severn Trent, Yorkshire and Thames Water including: interface liaison with planning, mechanical and electrical, process and panel engineers. Bob has also undertaken the role of an expert witness having prepared evidence in a number of civil litigation actions, giving evidence at Public Inquiries and in Arbitration.
