Caulmert are very pleased to announce the appointment of Don Bradley as Associate environmental consultant to the environmental team, who will be based at their Loscoe office in Derbyshire.
Don is an experienced environmental geochemist specialising in soil gases, landfill derived gases, waste management, and contaminated land. He has previously worked in both the public and private sectors.
Don started his career as an environmental geochemist at the British Geological Survey. Initially involved in geochemical research in support of mineral exploration; his interests increasingly turned towards environmental geochemistry, particularly related to natural and man-made soil gases. This led to three years’ research at the University of Nottingham into landfill gas, concentrating on the odorous constituents. He subsequently worked in consultancy, assisting clients with landfill PPC applications and managing teams covering LFG modelling, air quality modelling , and odour assessment.
Most recently, he led the land reclamation section of Nottinghamshire County Council, where his work combined aspects of economic regeneration, planning and sustainable development, restoration of abandoned and/or contaminated land, including one of the first trials in the country of biomass crop production on an historic landfill.
