Our planners have secured consent for a two year extension to the life of an extant planning permission for the construction of a Combined Heat and Power Plant at Deeside Industrial Estate. The proposed development has been designed to use refuse derived fuel to generate electricity sufficient to meet on-site requirements. In addition, surplus heat from the Plant will be used to help satisfy on-site process heat requirements. In order to obtain this extension of time, our planners prepared and submitted a Supplementary Environmental Statement which identified and assessed, changes in the planning policy context, flood risk, ecology and air quality since the original planning permission for the proposed development was first approved.
