Development of New Water Treatment Works

Caulmert’s planners have secured planning permission for the development of new water treatment works at Llyn Conwy, Dolbenmaen and Alaw in North Wales. The developments will increase the security of drinking water supply in the area and will ensure that drinking water entering the distribution mains satisfies the requirements of the Drinking Water Inspectorate. Pre-application discussions with the Local Planning Authorities enabled the details of the proposed development to be refined and potential issues to be addressed prior to the submission of the planning applications. In addition, public consultations with Community Council’s and the local communities helped to allay concerns regarding potential construction and operational impacts.
