Caulmert are very pleased to announce the appointment of Katie Burton as senior environmental consultant to the environmental team, who will be based at their Bangor office in North Wales.
Katie is an experienced environmental consultant specialising in water management in a wide range of areas including hydrology, hydrogeology, flood risk management and surface water modelling.
Katie started her career at JDIH (Water & Environment) Ltd as a consultant hydrologist where she was a key member on a variety of successful projects including Flood Risk Assessments; drainage diversions and appraisals; flood estimation; groundwater resources feasibility studies; Abstraction Licence Applications and Discharge Consent Applications. She also managed and completed hydrological and hydrogeological impact assessments for quarry developments.
Prior to joining Caulmert, Katie was a Hydraulic & Hydrological Modeller for British Waterways gaining extensive experience in hydrological and hydraulic modelling, water resource studies, mitigating and predicting drought risk and climate change. She was responsible for the operational and strategic modelling within a team covering the canal network across the south of England and Wales.
She has been involved in a range of water resources investigations, and has undertaken numerous water resources studies for the development of new marinas, surface water discharges and water sales.
