Caulmert prepared and submitted the planning application and despite receiving Officers recommendation for approval, Members of the Planning Committee resolved to refuse the application due to perceived impacts upon Transport and Welsh Language.
Caulmert were appointed to prepare and submit a planning appeal against the refusal and also provided expert rebuttals on the Transport issues raised.
The Inspector agreed with our Statement of Case and approved the scheme. The Inspector also provided useful commentary on the use of conditions and stated there was no need to include a condition relating to the discharge of drainage details as the requirement is covered in other legislation (Schedule 3 of the Flood and Water Management Act 2010) and the Sustainable Drainage Approval Body.
Caulmert worked with a great Design Team including Ainsley Gommon Architects, Etive Ecology, TEP – The Environment Partnership, AA Projects and Cadnant Planning Ltd / Welsh Language Statement.
