Following the withdrawal of the Local Plan in May 2019, Amber Valley Borough Council are now in the process of preparing an up to date Local Plan which they expect to adopt by March 2023. As part of this process the Council are now undertaking a call for sites which runs until 4:30pm on 31 March 2020.
The call for sites is an opportunity for landowners to put forward potential sites for housing development, ranging from small-scale sites (capable of accommodating 5 or more dwellings) to large-scale developments (such as extensions to urban areas and/or villages and new settlements where appropriate) and/or potential sites for economic development (sites of 0.25ha or greater, or 500m2 of floorspace or greater). In addition, the council are requesting potential sites for other uses, including:
- Gypsy and traveller accommodation
- Community facilities
- Sports / leisure development
If you are a landowner and have a site that may be suitable for any of the above developments and potential inclusion in the Local Plan, then please contact us for advice. If your site has previously been submitted to the Council as part of a past call for sites, then it will not automatically be considered, and we therefore advise resubmitting it.
To discuss submitting a site for consideration, please contact Neil Arbon via email firstname.lastname@example.org or call on 01773 749132.
