Caulmert are very pleased to announce the appointment of Beverley Callaghan (MSc Ecology, Theory and Techniques BSc Zoology with Animal Ecology) as Environmental Scientist to the Environmental Team, who will be based at their Bangor office in North Wales.
Beverley has over eight years experience in the environmental sector within a wide range of disciplines including environmental monitoring, environmental permitting and legislation, biodiversity, ecological assessment and field surveying.
Beverley started her career at the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology as a Field Technician where she was responsible for undertaking environmental monitoring of terrestrial and freshwater ecosystems to determine environmental changes, providing technical support to monitoring programmes and large-scale field experiments, environmental database management and interpretative report production. She also carried out in-house laboratory analysis of water quality samples.
Prior to joining Caulmert, Beverley worked for Environment Agency Wales, most recently in the role of Biodiversity Officer, where she gained extensive experience in ecological assessment and report production for a variety of Hydropower schemes, habitat creation and wildlife management on brownfield sites, biodiversity technical advice and flood and coastal risk management. She also assisted in the management of collaborative projects with stakeholders such as the Countryside Council for Wales and RSPB.
