Caulmert are delighted to announce the arrival of Faraj Arfa-Zangeneh.
Faraj, who will be based at the Codnor Office in Derbyshire, will lead a team consisting of hydrologists, flood and drainage engineers.
Faraj is a Chartered Civil Engineer, Chartered Water and Environmental Manager and Chartered Environmentalist with over 30 years’ experience in the design, management and co-ordination of a range of small and large projects.
He has a wide variety of experience in water engineering disciplines including feasibility studies, hydrological analysis, river hydraulics and catchment modelling, river engineering, flood defence, flood risk assessment, drainage and Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems (SUDS) and Water Cycle Studies.
He has an in depth knowledge of flood risk management covering fluvial, overland, sewer and groundwater flooding and has undertaken a large number of flood risk assessments and flood studies for private developers and local authorities in the UK. He has used his knowledge and experience of hydrology and hydraulic modelling in flood studies, floodplain and hazard mapping and flood alleviation on projects with regional importance for the Environment Agency and the Internal Drainage Boards in England and local authorities in Scotland.
His experience in SUDS covers small and large residential and commercial as well as major road developments in England and Scotland incorporating engineering solutions from feasibility to the detailed design in line with current guidelines.
