Caulmert were appointed by Wynne Construction to provide professional Civil and Structural Engineering design services for the new £7m Holyhead Primary School on behalf of Anglesey County Council.
The scheme involved the design of a new building, whilst the existing listed building on the site was refurbished to retain its existing features whilst complimenting the new development.
The design and detailing was undertaken using a fully collaborative Level 2 BIM process. The design team fully embraced the BIM process and Caulmert undertook the detailing using Revit 2015 and specification through NBS Create.
Holyhead Primary School is the first within North Wales to be modelled using the fully collaborative level 2 BIM process and sets the standards for future school design.
