Caulmert was appointed by Durham County Council to design the engineering and infrastructure works associated with the restoration of the existing landfill facility at Joint Stocks, Durham.
The project scope included developing an extension to the containment landfill, waste cut and fill, capping, restoration and drainage design to create three balancing/attenuation lagoons.
Our team of engineers provided full design and 3D modelling services as well as on site Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) in order to meet the requirements of the Environment Agency.
These works were carried out in order that the site could be formally restored and ultimately closed.
