Caulmert provided a full multi discipline service to Lafarge Tarmac during the design, management and construction of a new leachate treatment plant at their site based at Newcastle Under Lyme.
Caulmert provided technical advisor, project management and site monitoring roles. The scheme included the construction of a main 12m dia vessel along with two 10m dia support vessels.
The leachate treatment project was commissioned due to the difficult site nature and the need to reduce off site transport costs. The site is located within a ‘bowl’ which was sensitive to rainwater levels.
Works commenced in 2014 and Caulmert provided technical advice to Lafarge Tarmac in order to design, manage and deliver the leachate plant.
