Caulmert Limited were appointed on behalf of M&L Investments Ltd to project manage the construction of a new build, modern, fit for purpose storage and office facility to meet current business requirements.
The project included excavation, ground stabilisation, concrete foundations and slabs, portal frame warehouse construction, 2 storey office development with internal compartmentations, high level warehouse lighting, racking, three phase plant supplies, fire and intruder alarms, VESDA smoke detection, installation of a full heating and ventilation system, installation of telecoms and data and internal fit out of all areas.
The project was procured as design and build and was restricted to a tight delivery programme to meet the logistical requirements of the client’s relocation from its existing lease expiring premises.
Caulmert provided full project management services, including contract administration, value engineering, project programming, management of contractors, valuations of works, site works inspections, client liaison and representation, including interactions with the Local Authority and other statutory bodies. The project completed on programme and within budget.
In recognition and as testimonial to the quality of service provided, Caulmert have been retained as the client project managers for the next phase of the project.
