Caulmert was appointed by Viridor Waste Management Ltd to carry out a feasibility study and site investigation for a new recycling facility at their Ipswich Depot.
Due to increased site throughput, Viridor appointed Caulmert to look at the feasibility of constructing a new building onto their existing facility. Having taken the client requirements for the new facility, Caulmert carried out a review of the existing site. A structural assessment and analysis of the existing building was undertaken along with the ground investigation to compile a factual report. Caulmert carried out a Phase 1 Environmental Deskstudy, followed by a Phase 2 Site Investigation. Combined with a structural condition survey and an assessment of the existing concrete yard, a feasibility study was presented to Viridor in order to support their tender documentation for appointing a design and build contractor.
