Caulmert Limited were appointed as designers to MPH Construction for this project providing design support on Civils, Structural and Geotechnics.
The project is known as Ysgol Feithrin Glan Conwy, Early Years Provision. The aim of this Design & Build project was to develop a purpose-built 30 place early years childcare playgroup facility for 2-3 year olds on school sites, to strengthen transition from childcare setting to school to improve positive partnership working and school readiness.
The project will facilitate and support the co-location of the Foundation Phase education and childcare provision within Conwy County to enable parents to take full advantage of the Welsh Governments Childcare Offer for Wales and provide a seamless ‘wrap around’ provision for children, parents and families to access.
The education and childcare facility has provided a large space that can be multi-used and sub-divided to provide a friendly welcoming environment for children and parents to provide a rich environment for learning and play. Ensuring the environment is safe, secure and suitable to promote children’s development.
Capital Project fully funded by Welsh Government, led by ERF Consultancy Team, working in partnership with Conwy Education Site Management and Conwy Early Years Education and Childcare Team.
