Redevelopment of Calveley Nurseries

The former Calveley Nurseries site in Cheshire has remained vacant for several years. Acting on behalf of the landowner, Caulmert has now secured planning permission for the redevelopment of the site for a mixed use development comprising retail and employment units. Countrywide Farmers Ltd are to relocate their existing store to the proposed retail unit, enabling them to continue to serve the surrounding rural community. In addition, interest has already been expressed in the proposed employment units by local businesses who wish to expand their existing operations. The approved development accords with the guidance contained in the Government’s recent National Planning Policy Framework which seeks to encourage sustainable economic development in rural areas.
