Caulmert’s consultancy proficiency is overseeing crucial activity aimed at improving the water quality of the Menai Strait.
Our team is determined to ensure that sustainability isn’t simply a buzzword, rather that we are working together to make sure that we are doing everything we can to minimise our impact on the environment in which we operate.
With the guidance of our sustainability champions, we have joined the Green Growth Pledge, signed the Engineers Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency petition, and developed a carbon reduction plan (CRP).
What do these mean for Caulmert?
- Green Growth Pledge: Helps Welsh businesses take pro-active steps towards improving sustainability and demonstrates their positive impact on the people and places around them.
- Engineers Declare Climate and Biodiversity Emergency petition: Unites all strands of the built environment engineering profession. It is both a public declaration of the planet’s environmental crises and a commitment to take positive action in response to climate breakdown and biodiversity collapse.
- Carbon Reduction Plan: With the help of Business Wales, we have developed a CRP as the next step in working towards net zero. This includes a baseline year carbon footprint, targets for reducing carbon emissions, and our carbon reduction projects.
Supporting these initiatives is the company’s sustainability policy statement, whilst other notable actions taken by our team, include using the building research establishment environmental assessment methodology (BREEAM) and proactively assisting clients in achieving biodiversity net benefits.
