Swansea University Bay Campus Charity Abseil
Caulmert was delighted to sponsor one of Swansea University Students in a much-needed break from coursework and revision stresses, for the opportunity to abseil from the iconic Clock Tower Building at Swansea University’s Bay Campus.
This exciting new fundraising event was organised by SOS Africa and the Swansea Siavonga Partnership. These two grassroots education charities were founded with the support of Swansea University staff and students. 100% of all funds raised from the event will be invested in the education and care of disadvantaged South African and Zambian children.
Caulmert’s chosen sponsor student ‘Rebecca’ was treated to a breath-taking view from the top of the iconic clock tower before taking on the 100ft abseil from the roof of the main building.
SOS Africa is a UK based grass roots child sponsorship organisation which funds the education and care of underprivileged African children. Since 2003 they have provided 107 disadvantaged children, from grades 1 to 12, with a personal education programme or remedial care scheme tailored specifically to their needs. This holistic approach enables children to break the cycle of poverty and reach their full potential (http://www.sosafrica.com/AboutSOSAfrica.htm).
